Quick access to information supports high quality care

“We have found that being part of the health information exchange has allowed our staff to efficiently address patient care needs. Electronic access to health care information allows staff, in whatever capacity they are working (i.e., nursing, front office check-in process, on phones making appointments, coordinating referrals, or business office position working with insurance companies) to help the patients quickly by retrieving information that is key to patient care.

There is also a great electronic history of those who have accessed the chart and there is a confirmation on where any exchange of information has occurred. This has been key to helping us handle the high volume of patients in our office with quality care.”
